How to Fund Your Apsis VR Excursion Through Department Priorities
Equity Funding
- Supports disadvantaged students by providing access to engaging, real-world learning experiences.
- VR excursions are low-cost ($29 per student) and ensure equitable participation, reducing barriers to enrichment activities.
- Schools can allocate a portion of equity funding to cover excursion costs for targeted cohorts.
Student Excellence Program
- Designed for high-ability students who require extension and challenge beyond the classroom.
- VR and AI experiences encourage deep problem-solving, collaboration, and future-ready thinking.
- Excursions can be positioned as part of enrichment activities under this program.
Annual Implementation Plan (AIP) Priorities
- Schools are expected to implement initiatives linked to engagement, wellbeing, and academic growth.
- VR excursions contribute to: Critical & Creative Thinking Capability, Digital Literacy, Teamwork & Communication.
- These align directly to AIP targets and can be resourced from relevant budgets.
Literacy & Numeracy Support (Middle Years)
- VR challenges enhance problem-solving, reasoning, and communication skills, reinforcing literacy and numeracy outcomes.
- Can be funded as part of targeted interventions for student engagement.
Professional Learning Budgets (Optional Add-On)
- Apsis VR also offers Professional Development workshops for teachers, showing how to integrate VR and AI into pedagogy.
- These can be funded under Professional Learning allocations in line with Department policy.
