Apsis VR is a premier virtual reality entertainment products company offering 15 VR escape rooms, 25 VR games, and 2 VR racing cars to offer the best VR Melbourne experience. We also offer the Richie’s Plank virtual reality experience.

We use HTC Pro Vive and Oculus VR headsets in our virtual rooms. We invest in proven VR system technology for you to have the best immersive virtual reality experience. We have multiple and wide variety of VR headsets to provide the best experience for anyone above the age of 12+. We are also looking to introduce kids VR in the future to support age groups 8 to 12.

We have over 20 virtual rooms that support standing and seated experiences. We can also provide free roaming virtual rooms for certain products.

OUR HISTORY

  • We started with 8 stations in November 2021, offering 6 VR Escape Rooms after COVID.
  • In 2023 June, we expanded to 12 stations.
  • We launched our unique membership programme in September 2023.
  • By December 2023, we added another 7 unique escape rooms to bring the total to 13 escape rooms.
  • In February 2024, Apsis VR and Viri VR merged to create a unique Viri Apsis experience.
  • Apsis VR added 25 VR games and 2 VR racing cars due to the acquisition of Viri VR in April 2024.
  • 20 virtual rooms have been created to support standing and seated experiences.

WHAT DO YOU DO IN A VIRTUAL ESCAPE ROOM?

In a VR escape room, you work together with your team members in a virtual room to solve puzzles to complete a mission. To enter the mission, you will initially be given a briefing by our game masters on how to use your VR headset, VR controllers, and your virtual room to work with your team members.

At Apsis VR, you will be provided a physical area of 3×3 to stand and move around, giving you the freedom of movement. Your VR headset will display your virtual world, and you will see your teammates as avatars, and you will hear your team members. In the virtual world, you are together to solve your virtual reality mission.

In a virtual escape room, you would use your VR headset and VR controllers to point and click to move around in the escape room; controllers can be used to pick objects, unlock doors, climb walls, etc. Unlike physical escape rooms, in virtual escape rooms you would be able to do much more ambitious activities as it is not dependent on your physical ability. It provides you a safe space to try more daring tasks.

In a VR escape room, your virtual world is your physical escape room. Your physical space you stand in is called the virtual room.
