Why Schools Choose Apsis VR
Operational Experience, Not Just Equipment
We have run VR experiences for over 50,000 people since 2020. We know from that operational depth which VR content engages students at different year levels — something a curriculum company that bought headsets cannot replicate.
1
Facilitator manages everything
Our trained facilitator handles setup, safety briefings, session management, headset hygiene between every student, and pack-down. Teachers participate or observe — no technical knowledge needed.
2
ACARA + Victorian AIP alignment
Programs link to ACARA General Capabilities: Critical and Creative Thinking, Digital Literacy, Personal and Social Capability. We provide AIP documentation for Victorian schools before the incursion.
3
Listed on School Activities AU
Apsis VR is already listed on School Activities AU with documented Victorian curriculum links — making it straightforward to include in your school’s AIP documentation and improvement strategy.

How VR Incursions Support Victorian AIP Priorities
Critical & Creative Thinking
Years 5–12
VR escape room challenges require logic, lateral thinking and communication under time pressure — skills students transfer directly to academic work.
Digital Literacy & Technologies
Years 3–12
Students engage with cutting-edge VR technology, understand how it works, and discuss its real-world professional applications in healthcare, defence, architecture and engineering.
Learning & Wellbeing
All Year Levels
Immersive VR nature experiences and relaxation applications support student wellbeing programs, particularly effective for anxiety reduction and mindfulness.
Student Excellence
Extension Programs
Advanced escape room challenges and custom VR experiences for extension programs — higher-difficulty scenarios that engage gifted students in a genuinely novel environment.

FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
How much does a VR school incursion cost in Melbourne?
Contact us for a quote based on your student numbers, session length and school location. We work within typical incursion budgets and offer group pricing for larger year levels. Call 03 9088 6232 or complete the enquiry form for a same-day response.
Do teachers need any technical knowledge?
No. Our facilitator manages all technical aspects — setup, operation, troubleshooting and pack-down. Teachers participate alongside students or observe. We brief teachers on the session before students arrive so they can contribute to the learning conversation without needing any VR knowledge.
What year levels are suitable?
Our programs are suitable for Years 3 through 12. Junior programs (Years 3–6) use guided exploration and collaborative VR games with facilitated discussion. Senior programs (Years 7–12) include critical thinking challenges, VR escape room experiences and conversations about VR’s professional applications across industries. We recommend students be at least 8 years old for VR headset use.
Can you align the VR content to our specific curriculum unit?
Yes. If you have a specific unit of work — for example a Year 9 science unit on ecosystems, a Year 7 history unit on ancient civilisations, or a Year 10 wellbeing program — contact us at least 2 weeks before your incursion date and we will select or configure VR content that supports your learning objectives. We have access to over 300 VR experiences across our library.
Do you travel to schools outside Melbourne?
Yes. Apsis VR delivers VR school incursions across Victoria and Australia-wide. For schools beyond greater Melbourne, travel costs are included in the quote. Contact us with your school’s location and we will confirm availability and pricing.
